Serene

Yesterday was a real gift. We didn't do anything unusual or anything; just went to church, did a little shopping, took a nap, and went out for dinner. Good stuff. What made yesterday seem special was the very difficult to describe emotional response I experienced as John pulled the car into the garage after dinner.

I felt.....as though I was simply in the right place, at the right time, and with the right person. I felt a quiet and happy contentment.

Nice. I wish I could package up moments like these and re-visit them when I need to.

It helped that the weather was perfect, we enjoyed a great dinner at one of our favorite places down by the Columbia river, and as the garage door opened I noticed yet again how my inexpensive farmer's market flower baskets are growing like crazy this year.

Deep fried pickles. Mmmmmmm.

They're BEASTS. Awesome.

I hope your weekend was a good one, too.

Your flower baskets are lovely!!!!!

I would love eating on the Columbia River... Your posts of the scenery in your area makes me wish I was there.

Yes! You described it perfectly! Wish we really could bottle that experience, and spritz ourselves every now and then. Mmm!

These are surely the moments we live for, and what life is truly all about. What a blessing for those of us who have loving, understanding partners! And what a view!! How do you ever keep your eyes on the road???

The pictures and sentiment were beautiful - except for the deep fried pickles! Can't imagine that!
I'm feeling really good lately too. I got my thyroid medicine adjusted and I feel like an entirely different person! I've been doing things lately that I haven't had the energy to do in literally years! Great feeling!
