Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes, everyone! The surgery was incredibly fast and all went as planned. I'm hanging out doing the eye drop thing like a good patient. My friend Naomi is going to chauffeur me to my post op appointment later today.
I'm thinking that I'm going to be really glad that those dratted cataracts are gone but in the meantime, I'm trying to figure out how to SEE. Ooooo. The colors, man......wild, man......
I'm also thinking that I shouldn't blog while still under the effects of an IV sedative.
See y'all tomorrow.

Glad everything went well.
Take care of your eye and rest up.Glad for you it's all over.
I was amused when I had the first eye done to look at the colors of things with one eye, then the other. Quite a contrast!
Be aware that the capsule behind the lens can still go opaque, and you may need laser treatment in the future. That was even easier -- I barely had time to finish sitting down before it was over.
Glad your surgery went well! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Rest up and we'll be waiting for your next post when you feel up to it :)
Super duper gald everything worked out. I was getting my Plaquinil check up for my eyes at the same time you got your surgery.
No sign of pre glaucoma. zero. I have had more dryness in my left eye than the other. The pain and eye angst is worse when I am in the car so I need to get those wrap around glasses that I gave away because they made that area of my face sweat. Know what I"m talking about? Maybe your audience knows the best place I can find these with my prescription?
And I am going to say it again. I smoke herb, it just seems to make more sense than going in and getting cataract surgery.
