Today should be interesting. At about noon, I'll be in surgery for my much-anticipated cataract surgery.
Woo hoo!
Seriously. I am SO ready to have this procedure that I just can't stand myself. The cataract in my right eye has become much worse over this summer. I hate the feeling that my eyes don't match since the cataract in the left eye is smaller.
No wonder I've been having headaches.
My daughter in law thinks that it's awesome that I get to wear an eye patch briefly, so she insists that I wear one of these pirate temporary tattoos in pre-op. I just might do that.
Aaaaaaarrrrrrr ye mateys! Hm. Now which one do I like best........?

Good luck with your surgery!
Praying for your successful surgery. And why choose just one tattoo? But beware - hear they are addicting. With your love of holidays, that could be a dangerous mix!
But what about a stuffed parrot on the shoulder - or would that make Pinkie jealous? Seriously though, good luck & best wishes - or should that be 'ooo aarrr me hearties, avarst & stand by. I think the dagger stuck between the teeh could be a bit off putting for the medical team.
Knowing you I would not be surprised to hear that you are taking your camera to the hospital to get some interesting pictures for us. Are you going to give yourself a bit of time off?
All the best for an uneventful operation. Maybe some eyepatches for the cows too? or Pinky?
Oooh, I vote eye patches and head scarves for the cows too! Good luck for the surgery. Can't wait to see what those naughty cows have in store for you when you are better.
All the best for the op and a speedy recovery.
I haven't seen another person in my life who seem to be so excited about a cataract surgery! This is awesome! :) All the best and wishing you a speedy recovery.
I laughed at you trying to do a pirate impersonation. Hey, you can even use that as a halloween costume! It's nice that you're keeping a cheerful disposition despite your situation. I hope the surgery went well and that you're doing okay now.
