I was grumping around last week because I was certain that my kids had forgotten Mother's day coming up.
Not that I expected them to do anything spectacular or anything but I just had not heard a thing from them about this the most important holiday of the year.
I asked John if he had knew anything, and he got this shifty-eyed look and denied any kind of knowledge about anything.
I should never have doubted them, however. They surprised me by buying John and I Mariner's baseball tickets. We drove up to Seattle, had a yummy brunch at my daughters' apartment, then headed over to Safeco field for a delightful day at the ballpark.
The only thing that could have improved the day would have been a Mariners win. C'mon, team. Was it so much to ask? Really? Aww, gee....
Phone pics are better than no pics, I guess. Didn't think to throw my Canon into Goldie for the trip.
