........and I took your advice.
My MedicAlert bracelet came today. Terese helped me put it on.
Even BICJ thinks it doesn't look bad. Comfy, too.
It was such a strange sensation to read all the things engraved on the back of the medallion.
Is that really me??
Good thing that it takes more than a few words written on silver to define a person.

Very stylish looking bracelet. I'm sure you and your family will be more at ease, if something should happen to you, and you need medications.
P.S. I'm having pretty bad brain fog this week, as I have to re- post, I'm so forgetful. I just wanted to wish you and all the other mothers who read your blog a great MOTHER'S DAY!
Hi Julia,
Exactly how much of your conditions did you put on that little piece of gold?? Just wondering, because I am thinking of getting one too, but I have just been diagnosed last month, and am hoping that other 'things' won't pop up, if you know what I mean?
Thanks, Annie - Happy mother's day to you too!
Teresa: I called in to MedicAlert to ask them to help me choose, and the person I spoke to was really helpful. My tag says, "autoimmune disease, asthma, immunosuppressed, takes prednisone, drug allergies". Then the medicalert telephone number.
MedicAlert creates a secure online page for you, on which you can list all your conditions, medications, allergies, etc. You can change it yourself as things go along but you can't change the engraving on your bracelet without ordering another.
In an emergency, the medical staff can call the telephone number on your bracelet and get all of your updated information on your webpage.
Cool.
My bratty inner child Julia really really wants to list some silly stuff online......but I don't think I'll let her. This is serious stuff.
